The curb will not take a shed. Not in Oshawa, not in Ajax, not in Courtice, not up in Uxbridge. A booked bulky collection is for a couch. A garden shed, the walls, and whatever collapsed last winter are renovation debris — they go to a facility or onto a trailer.
Two jobs, same crew. Empty what is inside, or take the building apart by hand and haul the wood. We do not break out a poured pad, and we do not pull a demolition permit. If the city wants paperwork for a wired or foundation shed, that is your clerk, not us.
Two packages
Empty only. Tools, bags, a mower, the shelves. If the door is at grade this prices like a small garage cleanout — usually a quarter to a half trailer, $209–$489 before HST. We load and sweep. The building stays.
Empty and take the shed. Hand take-apart. Wood and metal on the trailer. Quoted from photos, and often outside a simple volume band because the labour is the job. Shed and deck teardowns are a special quote on the rate card for that reason. A six-by-eight that unscrews is one thing. A farm shed that has been leaning since the 90s is another.
Send photos of the outside, the inside, and the path to the street. A doorway shot that hides the depth is how a half load becomes a full one.
What is actually in it
Sheds collect the same restricted pile as a garage.
- Paint, stain, a gas can, a propane tank from the barbecue
- Old tires — free at a Regional facility in a dedicated load, up to ten per vehicle. That is a self-haul, not a booking
- A dead mower or a chest freezer
- Lumber, fencing, and the roof once it comes down
Paint, fuel, and propane stay off the load. What we cannot take is the same list as every other job. Flag those in the photos.
The curbside lookup is for furniture at a house. It will not take the shed.
Where the job looks different
Oshawa, Ajax, and Courtice: a garden shed, an alley or a side gate, trailer at the street. Access is the photo that matters.
Whitby south of Dundas: tight lots. A detached garage is still a garage. A backyard shed is this page. Do not book one as the other.
Clarington north of Taunton, Uxbridge, and Brock: collapsed or farm sheds, more volume, a scheduled window rather than same-day. Same rates. The difference is when we can get there.
What we will not do
We haul what comes apart with hand tools. We leave the pad.
A poured slab is fill at the facility — $375 a tonne if someone breaks it out and tips it. That is not this crew. If the shed is wired, plumbed, or sitting on a foundation, check your clerk before anyone cuts. We will not invent a permit rule for your address, and we will not start a demo that needs one.
If you only wanted the junk out of a seasonal bunkie, that is the cottage close-up. If the pile is drywall and kitchen cabinets, that is reno debris.

Emptying uses the published card. Taking the building down is labour plus disposal — we will say so on the estimate instead of forcing it into a quarter-load band.
